Protecting Your Vehicle From UV

Summer is nearly here and although we love the sun it can be very damaging to our cars and trucks as UV light causes fading and fatigue to surfaces such as paint, plastic, composite, fabric and leather. In advance of this summer our client asked us to protect his Audi R8 Spyder V10.

Once the car has been dried, the protective coating is applied. As you will see in the video the products are applied to all the painted surfaces, glass, fabrics and wheels. It should also be noted that as this car has a fabric roof we treated the roof material to avoid UV fading and fatigue. On older convertible roofs the coating will also protect from water passing through the fabric which can cause damp, and unsightly mold growth in the seams.

As many car owners will know, extended periods of UV also damages and fades the plastic light lenses which over time look begin to lose their clarity and look hazy and old. The LGS polish not only restores the lens to its original crystal clear finish but also protects the surface against future wear and damage from UV.
