Keeping Your Camper Van, Home, Office or Boat Cooler In The Sun
Liquid Glass Shield thermal coating is designed to be applied to metal, plastic and GRP. The paint incorporates micro glass spheres and platelets the reflect the solar effects of the sun from treated surfaces. The coating gives 98% solar reflection that stops the roof panel absorbing IR and reduces the temperature within the vehicle or building, typically the reduction in temperature during the hottest part of the day is 11.5 centigrade. Due to high hydrophobic properties and product flexibility (130%) the coating resists dirt and debris bonding to the treated surface which helps keep the roof panel cleaner for longer. The application is very simple and can be undertaken on a DIY basis with a paint tray and small foam roller.
The product is supplied in brilliant white but it can be tinted (9-12%) with a water based paint, the coverage per litre is 5-6m2. FREE PV (Solar Panel) coating included with this product. The coating is also suitable for buildings and marine craft. The customer tested the temperature on both the treated and un-treated areas of the roof, the un-treated area was 38.6c and the Liquid Glass Shield treated area was only 28c, a full 10c lower in surface temperature. The outside temperature at the time of the test was 26.2c.
